Loyola players Ryan Khalil, Levi Bailey, and Victor Koister each volunteer some time on Sunday afternoons to help foster hockey's growth in the United States with their involvement in the Hockey is for Everyone program. The program, sponsored by the NHL and AHAI (Amateur Hockey Association Illinois), strives to get more people involved with hockey by providing free clinics to kids under the age of 14.
The Ramblers have dedicated some time to this initiative since former goaltender and team president, Nathan Pecoraro, introduced it to the underclassmen. Ryan Khalil said of his former teammate and the program, "Nate said he has been coming out here to help out since he was in high school, and I think it's really good to have older guys at these clinics so these little kids can look up to them and think 'one day I want to be like him'. Watching the high schooler games after our practices while growing up made me want to continue playing hockey, and I haven't stopped yet." This is one of the main reasons why Ryan has made an effort to bring Rambler players out to these clinics when he took over as team president this season.
