The Men's Hockey Team is excited to announce its partnership with Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) to help them raise money for cancer research.
Both organizations look to take advantage of the team's next and final home weekend against arch-rival Northwestern to raise funds and raffle items that will go towards the team's Relay for Life page.
Team president Ryan Khalil was excited when he first heard about the opportunity to team up with CAC. "I think that any time you are put in a position to do some good for someone, you should. With the popularity of our team growing on campus and our biggest and best-attended games coming up, I see no better time to try and make a good situation even better."
Vice President Andrew Hadley felt similarly about this partnership. He said, "I've already got a few ideas as to how we can get as many people out to our event as possible."
The team has never shied away from helping out in their community. They are continually involved with the Loyola Gives program that sponsors families from the Chicago Area each holiday season, and they have kept up their commitment to grow the game of hockey by maintaining their support and involvement with Hockey is for Everyone, free clinics to help grow the game of hockey to more people who would not normally have access.
